About Alfred Heath, MA LPC NBCFCH
Alfred Heath is a Virginia-Licensed Professional Counselor (License # 0701003179) with over 30 years experience providing outpatient psychotherapy, substance abuse therapy, Marriage, family, child and adolescent counseling, residential counseling for adults with developmental disabilities, and career counseling. He has been using BSFF with clients for 20 years and teaching BSFF to clinicians, coaches, and the general public since 2010. Dr. Larry Nims, the creator of Be Set Free Fast, designated Alfred a BSFF trainer in 2009, and promoted him to the status of BSFF's only other master trainer in 2015. In his role as a trainer, Alfred has conducted training in person throughout the US, Canada, and Europe, and now regularly leads online training for psychotherapists, paraprofessionals, and coaches all over the world. In his part-time private practice, Alfred provides BSFF-enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy to clients and is a consultant for other BSFF trainers and practitioners. He also has given in-person introductory lectures, learning labs and workshops at conferences in the United States and Europe. In addition to his degrees and BSFF credential, he is a Fellow of Clinical Hypnotherapy, Neurolinguistic Programmer and originator of the Subconsciously Optimized and Accessed Resources (S.O.A.R.) process, and is an ordained Christian minister in the Order of Melchizedek and dedicated to relieving the suffering of humanity, a person at a time.
About Dr. Larry P. Nims, Ph.D.
Larry Philip Nims was a California-licensed Clinical Psychologist and the originator of the Be Set Free Fast method. He evolved BSFF into its current form through synthesizing several psychological schools of thought and approaches to psychotherapy, including Experimental Psychology, Behavioral Science, Psychodynamic Theories, Humanistic and Experiential Psychology, Person-Centered Counseling, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Clinical Hypnosis, Behavioral Kinesiology and Energy Psychology. In the opinion of Dr. Nims, Alfred Heath, and many other professionals trained in his method, the resulting simple and effective modality distilled from these approaches transcended their limitations while potentiating and accelerating their benefits. Dr. Nims conducted training throughout the United States, Europe, and Australia before retiring from his practice and public life in 2015. Although he charged Alfred Heath to take on the responsibility of continuing to develop his method, train professionals and educate the public, Dr. Nims made regular in-person and online appearances in Alfred Heath's training events for as long as his health allowed. Dr. Nims departed his body and this Earth on 20 December 2024 to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven. An ordained minister, he leaves behind his legacy of Be Set Free Fast in service of the Human Condition to free humanity from suffering.
